The Intrepid 427 Nomad FE was introduced at the 2022 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show and is the first of the two+ new models on Intrepid’s 427 wide-beam hull. The 427 series incorporates the open transom design developed to package the 600hp Mercury outboards. The wider beam allowed a FE console design (front entry) to feature 3-wide helm seating. All new Intrepid console designs from 34 to 51 feet have included an integrated, single piece windshield, with aft arches nesting the wetbar. The wrap around windshield provides a clear forward view and wind protection for all helm seats.
The console head arrangement is derived from the well-detailed 40 Panacea arrangement with interlocking components and inset countertop feature. The FE deck layout forward features well-conceived seating arrangement with large deck side and seat back lockers, and the fish box / sunpad design with actuated seat back, and additional rod & drink holders, over the voluminous fish box.
The cockpit incorporates the full-service galley between the hardtop arches, and a range of features true to Intrepid: Corner bait wells, fold out transom seat, fishable deck space, and opening side entries. The new hardtop designs all capture passive ventilation, extendable sun-shade, and overhead electronics, as well as a structural design that nests the console / windshield / hardtop / arches / wetbar into a single form.
The deck design was developed concurrent with the 427 Nomad SE, where the specific consoles exchange to incorporate the sunlounge, and provide the space for dual rows of 3x helm seats. Both models incorporate the growing Intrepid brand DNA developed through our design collaboration.
